Acne Treatment
Acne is a common skin disorder that is triggered by many factors at any age of an individual. Acne can attack any part of the body, but commonly in the facial region. The different cases that may trigger acne may dictate where the acne will appear either in the chest, arms, back or in the neck. Studies have shown that acne problems are common in adolescents and above, but the cases are increasing in children too. The common type of acne found in them (children) is lesions.
Types of Acne
- Blackheads
These appear after the debris in the follicle is oxidized. These appear in the form of black dots on any part of the body. They also appear after the hair follicles are clogged
- Whiteheads
These are obvious in appearance just like their name. These pimples have white heads and are highly visible in any person who gets them. They occur after the follicles get filled with sebum and dead skin cells. The body needs oil for different reasons, but where the oil becomes much, acne will appear
- Acne Conglobata and Nodules
These are a severe type of acne that can worsen if at all no effective treatment is taken. They tend to affect the face or the back and they continue to worsen from one month to another. Another type of acne under this category is cysts.
- Papules
They are detected from their appearance. They are like white heads, but smaller or medium in nature. They are red in nature plus they can also swell, but no liquid in them
- Pustules
They are filled with pus and it is advisable that one leaves them until they burst on their own because they can create severe scars.
Treatment of Acne
Acne treatment depends on the type of acne you have. Some acne types are mild while others are severe. Effective Acne treatment in India can be done with the help of a dermatologist who can determine the acne type, provide treatment and prevent the cases from reoccurring. - Fillers
Soft tissue fillers are injected into the affected areas to reduce the visibility of the scars.
- Skin surgery
A doctor eliminates the pimples with the scars and performs a skin grafting procedure
- Laser resurfacing
In this case, a laser is used to remove pimples, scars and improve the skin appearance
- Use of Chemical Peels
The pimples and the blackheads are treated using different peeling treatments that clear the pus and the pimples and reduce the appearance of the scars
